The short version
Mactoro's apps keep your things on your Mac. There are no accounts and no analytics in any of our apps, we don't sell data, and the few things an app sends over the internet are listed below, app by app.
TradeStage
- Your layouts and settings are stored on your Mac and never sent to us.
- Accessibility access is used only to move and resize windows. TradeStage reads window positions and titles to do that; it does not record or send them. It never sees your trading accounts, orders or market data.
- Charts you open with the chart launcher load from TradingView in Google Chrome, under TradingView's own privacy policy.
- Licence checks: when you activate, the app sends your licence key and your Mac's name (as set in System Settings → General → About) to Lemon Squeezy, our payment partner, so you can see which Mac holds your licence. After that, the app sends the licence key and an activation ID about once a day to confirm the licence is still valid.
- Update checks: about once a day, the app downloads a small list of available versions from mactoro.com. Like any web request, this shows our host your IP address and the app's version. You can turn automatic checks off.
OmniNotch
- Clipboard history is kept on your Mac only, up to 200 items, and can be turned off. Items that apps mark as passwords or temporary are skipped, and text that looks like a password is not saved.
- Weather: if you allow location, your position is rounded to about 1 km and sent to Open-Meteo to fetch the forecast. You can type a city instead; then only the city name is sent. Open-Meteo's own privacy policy applies.
- The camera mirror shows your camera in the notch so you can check yourself before a call. Nothing is recorded or sent anywhere, and the camera runs only while the mirror is open.
- AI agent status: to show what Claude Code or Gemini are doing, OmniNotch reads their session files on your Mac. It shows them in the notch and sends nothing anywhere.
- Accessibility access, if you grant it, is used only to show the menu bar icons hidden behind the notch and to paste from the clipboard history.
- Extensions: when you install one from the store, OmniNotch downloads it from mactoro.com and tells mactoro.com which extension was installed, so the store can show install counts. To count each Mac once a day we keep a one-way hash of your IP address, the extension and the date for two days, never the address itself. Extensions run on your Mac; one that says it uses the internet contacts only the services it describes.
Fog Mirror
- The camera and microphone are used only to draw the mirror and to notice when you breathe on it. Nothing is recorded or sent anywhere, and the camera stops when the window is hidden or minimized.
- Pictures and clips are saved only when you ask, to Fog Mirror in your Pictures folder.
- No internet: Fog Mirror never connects to the internet.
Buying from Mactoro
Orders are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. They collect your name, email, billing country and payment details to take payment, handle tax and send your receipt and licence key, under their own privacy policy. We receive your name, email and order details so we can support you.
This website
mactoro.com uses no cookies and no analytics. Our host keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and pages requested, for security and reliability.
The OmniNotch workshop: when you send a request, we keep what you wrote, and your email only if you choose to leave one, for up to 180 days so we can read it and reply. Votes are counted with a one-way hash of your IP address, so we can tell a repeat vote without knowing who you are. Your browser remembers which ideas you voted for, on your device only.
New-app emails: if you leave your email to hear about new apps, we keep only the address and the date, use it only to announce new Mactoro apps, and delete it whenever you ask (reply to any email, or write to support@mactoro.com).
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by writing to support@mactoro.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Material changes will be announced on this site. When we add an app, we add its section here before it goes on sale.
